The Tree of Hope is a one woman multimedia play monologue based on the surreal life of Frida Kahlo, the famous Mexican painter. These talented theatre artists have captured the dream within the life of Kahlo through spoken word, sound, and multimedia projections. Many of the insights and images were drawn from Kahlo’s personal diary which shows her tumultuous inner life and her most intimate thoughts. The performance hopes to draw the audience into the mind of Kahlo. In order to fully understand her we must understand her obsessions, passions, love, heart, and most of all pain.
A documentary film of the project, also entitled Mining The Unconscious, screens at all galleries.
NOTE: Seating limited to 75 people! First come, first served.
